2nd Life Guards GV Other Ranks Bronze Cap Badge
An early WW1 GV pattern cap badge worn from 1913 onwards with original slider to the reverse (a W or M scratched on to it). A good striking, almost mint. Scarce.
The First and Second Life Guards were amalgamated in 1922 to form The Life Guards ( 1st & 2nd ).

A die struck gilt grenade with applied silver plated ER II Royal Cypher reversed and interlaced mounted on the ball. Two original loops. In very good condition (and some what unusually) with sharp detail. Worn from 1954.

WW2 Grenadier Guards Sergeants & Musicians Cap Badge - George VI Cypher
A very pleasing gilt brass die struck example with strengthening bar to neck of grenade and two original loops to the reverse and the GR VI Royal Cypher reversed and interlaced struck on the ball. Detail is sharp with no polishing, retaining its original gilt finish. Sealed 23rd March 1941. Worn until circa 1954.

Two original pictures removed from album, one with heavy crease mark, noted on reverse in a contemporary hand to be of Guardsman Stephen E. Cornish 21844 1st battalion Grenadier Guards who died 25th January 1916. He is also commemorated in the Australian war memorial and left an Australian widow.
