An extremely fine hollow silver example, highlights enhanced with gold plated highlights, the reverse bearing Chester hallmarks for 1914 (capital letter 'O') and maker's details "G&S". Very good condition. With no dents or distortion. It is better than my photos, as the gold seems to blend into the silver colour. Circa 4.7cms wide. Fabulous.

A scarce original First World War period Sutherland Highlanders sweetheart brooch in the form of a gilded brass convex shield inlaid with vivid blue enamelling, bearing the crest within the badge of this regiment.
