Worn in facing pairs with the lion facing inwards This one with the lion facing to the right. This example on two original loops. Later issues were on pins and clasps. QEII crown. Circa 33mm tall. Cap Badge was of same design with lion to left and usually found with a slider.

British India - Calcutta Fire Brigade Helmet Badge and Button

Not come across this pattern before, but have seen a Calcutta Police Badge of similar shape and design cast in white metal. Of two part cast construction with two long screw posts to revise of a presumably for fitting on to a brass fireman's helmet. it comes with a small button to the same unit, circa 16mm in diameter. Both in good condition and worn from 1901 until circa 1949.

A monogram of entwined letters F and C linked in open script, die struck with two original loops to the reverse. Worn on either side of the collar with separate numbers to the each side.
