Blackened finish heavily worn, two original D shaped loops (slightly bent inwards but functional). Circa 13mm tall and 40mm wide. In good worn condition. Pre 1958 pattern but one of a different patterns worn.

Most probably worn from 1902 with the introduction of Officer's Service Dress but Westlake notes photographic evidence of this pattern being worn in the 1890s (p81). A good scarce brass Volunteer Training Corps shoulder title with two loops to the reverse (one reattached with solder) and maker's stamp Gaunt, London. The owner has neatly scratched his name to reverse ' Luxley'.
