An attractive and scarce 74th (Highlanders) Regiment of Foot (later 2nd Battalion HLI) undress plaid brooch as worn between 1849-1881 nickel silver (no hallmark) with the Indian Elephant and scroll bearing battle honour 'Assaye'. West Kent Regiment Bi-metal Helmet Plate Centre ( HPC )

In good condition with three of four original staple style loops present to reverse (central loop neatly removed for wear on the Glengarry and one remaining stable is lifting on one side but still functional) . Worn 1881 - 1914 on the Helmet Plate and on the Glengarry until 1895. A thick blue velvet backing which appears to be the original backing to be included.

Brass dark toned and signs of service wear. With all four original staple style loops (Large central loop fractured but still functional). Worn 1881 - 1914 on the Helmet Plate Centre and on the Glengarry until 1895. It would have been worn with a red cloth backing.

A scarce die struck white metal glengarry badge for the 5th (The Sutherland and Caithness Highland) battalion of The Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany's). Scarce to find with a pin fastening - this is stout and original and fully functional. Apparently, the 1st Sutherland Highland Rifle Volunteers also wore this badge with a pin fastening.

Die cast, silver plated with gilt overlays. Of two part riveted construction with original fixing loops (some traces of plating to these) and maker marked JR Gaunt London. Circa 45mm tall. Slight polishing to coronet otherwise in very good worn condition and scarce.

A die struck example in white metal with two original copper loops to the reverse. All fiddly bits present and correct. This pattern with the un-voided portcullis. In very good condition with sharp detail. This was worn in white metal from 1929 onwards.

Scarce king's crown voided bronzed brass die struck cap badge with two original loops to the reverse . A voided wreath of laurel with the title " Q.O. Dorset I.Y " to the centre of a crowned Garter Strap. Circa 1901 - 1908 only. In very good condition.
