An early and scarce anodised aluminium button, gilt coloured, circa 26mm in diameter. This pattern was only worn until 1959, but with a King's crown this is probably pre 1953. Fixed shank. Backmarked Firmin, London.

Early and scarce anodised aluminium button, gilt coloured, circa 26mm in diameter. Floating shank. Backmarked Buttons Limited, Birmingham. Slight wear to castle's highpoints, which looks worse in the photo. King's crown therefore most probably pre 1953. This pattern was only worn until 1959.
