Worn circa 1900 - 1944, and again by all ranks from 1946 - 1961 on the Gurkha hat. Worn in opposite ways by the 1st and 2nd battalions Each square is circa 12mm tall and 15mm wide.

10th Princess Marys Own Gurkha Rifles Pipers plaid brooch circa 1953-60
A good scarce die-cast locally made silvered example. Circlet “GURKHA RIFLES”, to the voided centre a strung bugle with kukri, Princess Mary’s Cypher and “10” between the strings. Stout pin to reverse. Silver plate in very good condition, not worn through to the base metal.
This pattern worn circa 1953 until 1960, so worn for only a brief period of time.

10th Princess Mary's Own Gurkha Rifles Officer's Silver Plated Cap Badge
Sealed pattern dated 15 July 1970 describes the officer's felt hat badge as being silver plate with a rhodium finish. I believe this to be such an example. In very good condition, some tarnish to the finish but on the whole in lovely condition with two original silvered loops to the reverse. This was the pattern authorised for wear from 1955 - 1994.
