Flare Pistol / Gun - Relic Condition - RAF issue

An absolute monster in the hand and of considerable weight. The flare pistol was a feature of every day life in the trenches but this one looks larger than those found as issued to the British Army with a 1.5 inch muzzle. Apparently this is a RAF issue recovered from the seabed. This is completely seized up so no need for a firearms licence and I cannot see any markings. Painted with black...  read more

Royal Scots Greys Silver Hallmarked and Enamel Medallion / Pendent / Watch Fob

An intriguing piece with a super quality miniature Scots Greys Cap Badge in silver with enamels above a red enamel heart containing a hand reaching towards a kneeling figure atop of a cliff. Initially I thought this was masonic, but then concluded it was more about duty and love of country, so most likely a patriotic reference. Any information welcome. WW1 Scarce 1914 1st Pattern Tyneside Scottish Other Ranks Glengarry Cap Badge

The design for this badge was not fixed until late November 1914 by the Tyneside Scottish Committee, and was replaced by the more imposing 2nd pattern badge in January 1915. A SWB officially impressed B336275 awarded to Rifleman George Eley of the Rifle Brigade. An unmarked silver circlet inscribed 'For King And Empire Services Rendered' bearing crowned 'GRI' Imperial Cypher to voided centre. In very good condition, silver bright, original C clasp and pin. Circa 32mm in diameter. Copy of SWB roll entry and copy of WW1 Medal Index Card (MIC) to be supplied.
