Authorised A/17 of 1943, introduced a badge of a launch at speed with the letters ASR emboided in the design. This designation was also worn in WW2 by the 97th London Scottish HAA (3rd Battalion of the London Scottish) as well as by the 1st and 2nd Battalions.
