First 1st Royal Surrey Militia White Metal Glengarry Badge, circa 1874 - 1881
Awarded the precedence 20 in 1855, the 1st Royal Surrey Regiment of Militia became the 3rd Battalion, the East Surrey Regiment in 1881. Circa 6.5cm tall with two original lugs to the reverse. Roman numerals XX for 20. Some misshaping to orb at top of crown otherwise in good condition with only minor wear to the silver plate on the highpoints.
