WW1 British Indian Army - 48th Bengal Infantry Regiment (Pioneers) Brass Shoulder Title,

A finely cast brass shoulder title with the regimental number, '48', above the curved title, 'Pioneers'. Two original tombstone style fixing loops to the reverse. In very good condition and scarce.

Die struck in white metal. A small FS cap badge at circa 35mm tall with two lug fittings to the reverse. Remains in good condition. Scarce.

In 1908 the Leeds based 3rd Volunteer Battalion, West Yorkshire Regt became two separate Battalions - 7 & 8th (Territorial) Bn's, West Yorkshire Regt. Both had the title "Leeds Rifles" but had separate designs for their cap badges.

A scarce matched pair of gilt metal shoulder badges with two original blades (unfolded) to the reverse of each, circa 22mm wide and 14mm tall. Thick lettering and of superior quality to those usually encountered. Slight staining from service use otherwise in very good condition.
