In very good condition with original slider. This was a short-lived pattern, worn post WW2 and sealed in September 1950 until replaced in April 1954 by a Queen's crown version. Scarce.

WW2 Artist Rifles (Rifle Brigade) White Metal Cap Badge

A die struck white metal cap badge for the Artists Rifles with an original slider to reverse. This pattern with "Artists" only on the scroll. It was sealed in white metal on 14th April 1938, following their becoming affiliated to the Rifle Brigade in 1937, having formerly been known as the 28th Battalion of the County of London Regiment (Artists' Rifles).

Two part construction with original slider to the reverse.
