Shropshire Yeomanry Brass Gilding Metal Cap Badge

As worn from 1908 until 1950. Un-voided. Original slider (slightly squashed flat at top of crown). Appears to have been double struck from the reverse but does not affect front image.

This unit was 6th in the order of precedence of yeomanry regiments. First raised in 1795.

Bi metal cap badge in good condition with original slider and two sweat / braising holes to the reverse of the scroll. With sharp detail. An all brass economy badge was issued in 1916.

Good detail with three original dark toned lugs to the reverse. Worn circa 1898 until 1906 only. It was then replaced by a different pattern in brass.

Original slider to reverse with correct blue backing cloth for wear on the beret. The GV RASC badges are scarce. It is a mystery as to why this should have be such a hard badge to find; the assumption being that earlier non Royal title cap badges were to be used up first.

45th Regiment of Foot (Derbyshire Regiment / Sherwood Forresters) Brass Glengarry Badge Converted into Mess Menu Holder

A genuine example with lugs removed (they were north - south) and expertly attached permanently to a brass menu ring stand which has an upright ring for holding the menu card / place setting name card. WW2 Royal Armoured Corps (RAC) Plastic Economy Cap Badge

Complete with its original blades, maker marked 'A Stanley & Sons, Walsall' and ' 1-A'. In good overall condition with little distortion and no crazing of the cellulose acetate plastic. Sometimes incorrectly described as Bakelite. One small split in top blade but this has not extended to the rest of it and fully functional.
