Circa 22mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked Firmin & Sons, 153 Strand, London (this format of backmark was only used between 1835 and 1849). A pre 1855 pattern button without the rim. Shank slightly bent over, silver plate dark toned and on highpoints worn to base metal, otherwise in good condition and scarce.
