Middlesex Yeomanry / 47th (Middlesex Yeomanry) Signal Squadron Pair of Gilt Brass Buttons

Whilst they bear a QVC crown, this pattern of button with this crown was worn post 1902 by the 47th (Middlesex Yeomanry) Signals Squadron (V). Gilt buttons, the gilt dulled on the smaller of the two, both with fixed shanks and the larger maker marked JR Gaunt & Son Ltd, London, the smaller 'Made in England'. Circa 22mm and 17mm respectively. Some verdigris to reverse of smaller button.

No 23 of a set of 108 different cards distributed by a number of different cigarette manufacturers entitled "Crests & Badges of the British Army". Thought to have been issued by British American Tobacco in 1915.
