Mint and still sealed in plastic wrap of issue, no maker details on packaging. Gold bullion thread with a reddy-brown felt backing colour as associated with the Womens Royal Army Corps. This proficiency badge covered about 20 allied trades such as Smith, Armourer, Fitter, Vehicle Mechanic etc.

Similar to No 4136 in BoBD (Jon Mills), who describes these as being made from PVC (poly-vinyl chloride) using a process of 'blowing-on' the white letters to a special background.
