The 13th Hussars Other Ranks Bi-metal Cap Badge

Two part construction with original slider to the reverse.

The badge is fairly simple in design with the motto 'Viret in ae ternum' ('It flourishes for ever'). In 1922 the Regiment was amalgamated with the 18th Hussars.

Die struck gilding metal cap badge with two original loops to the reverse as well as a maker's tablet for JR Gaunt / London to reverse of the crown. Some service wear but in good overall condition. This is most probably a pre 1917 issue given the plaque.

Victorian bi / metal cap badge with two original loops to the reverse. The number, "18" above the letter, "H" to the centre of a crowned circlet bearing the motto within a wreath of laurel that carries the Regiments two main honour scrolls.
