Circa 16mm in diameter, fixed shank and maker marked Firmin & Sons Ld, London. Open backed, slightly domed as per other examples of mess waiter buttons. Gilt better than appears in the photos. In good condition. See the larger pattern for sale listed above.

Five black silk ribbon tails sewn together in a fan. front clean, reverse with glue marks and traces of mildew, but does not have an ordure. A large item at circa 19cms tall and 15.5cms wide. Some service wear.
