A superb set to this territorial unit comprising die cast officer's cap badge blackened, with red felt centre held in place with backing disc and two tabs. Georgian / Napoleonic Roxburgh Local Militia (Scotland) Officer's Gilt Tunic Coatee Button

Circa 17mm in diameter, domed open backed gilt button with original shank, blank reverse. Gilt bright (some minor wear) and very sharp detail - rare. Worn 1808-1815. Scottish Local Militia units absorbed many of the smaller local volunteer units in 1808.
