The Welsh ( Yeomanry ) Horse ( Lancers ) Bronze Cap Badge
A die struck bronze cap badge with original slider. In very good condition. Neither the W nor H are fully voided as found on copies of this badge.
The unit was a war raised unit raised in South Wales in August 1914 and had effectively ceased to exist by 1917.

The 1881 - 1902 detachable Helmet Plate Centre (HPC) with all four staple style loops to the reverse, mounted on a die-stamped brass example of an original QVC crowned brass star bearing laurel wreath which also has both of its original staple style loops. Added red felt backing cloth for display and complete with cotter pins. In very good condition with sharp detail.

Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (A&SH) ( 91st & 93rd Highlanders) Victorian / Edwardian Pattern White Metal Glengarry Cap Badge - Unvoided Centre
A good stiff badge with two original dark toned lugs to the reverse. Sharp detail, could benefit from a light clean. Circa 8.1cm tall and 6cm wide.
This was the largest cap badge worn in the British Army. Until about 1908 the centre of the badge was solid, but after this date the central devices were fretted and voided.
