A scarce OSD officers dark bronze die cast cap badge with two original blades to the reverse. As usual, not recommended to play with the blades as they can get brittle with age. In very good condition. Pre 1922.

A favourite badge of mine, not immediately one that would be associated with the 5th Northumberland Fusiliers, but this was the badge worn on various forms of shoulder decoration by officers from 1836 until 1898. A die struck Victorian white metal other ranks shako badge with two long brass loops to the reverse. It comprises the Royal Crest to the centre of a Garter Strap upon a crowned multi-rayed star plate. Circa 8cm tall and 6.6cm wide. It is in very good condition with sharp detail.

A die struck white metal cap badge with two original dark toned loops to the reverse. The motto " Quocunque Jeceris Stabit " which is rather appropriate given the three legged device to the centre and translates as " whichever way you throw him he will stand ". With three original dark toned loops to the reverse and with sweat / braising / expansion holes. Shows signs of being worn but in good condition with sharp detail. Worn with a slider from circa 1910 onwards so this is an early pattern.
