29377 Sgt H. Watson 2-DAC AIF Enlisted in Feb 1916, with pre war militia service. Went to France in 1916, and had field service until the end of war. Noted in his papers that he allowed 2 committed prisoners to escape in late 1918! Also noted he served heavy guns, including Howitzers. Great actions, including Somme offensive and Hindenburg line. In good condition, but with a very interesting contemporary coloured pencil message to the reverse dated 27th June 1916 which appears to have got passed the censor.

25th Middlesex (Bank of England) Rifle Volunteer Corps Officers Fire Gilt Collar Badge

A stunning beautifully fire gilt example with two original loops. Worn in non facing pairs. Circa 31mm tall. The crest of the Bank of England, and the corps was primarily formed from its employees. The regiment was disbanded in 1907, having joined the KRRC in 1881 as one of its volunteer battalions. Rare and you wont find a better example.
